Overnight on May 18, Russian forces launched drone attacks targeting the city of Odesa, resulting in damage to residential buildings and injuries to two civilians, according to the head of the Odesa city military administration, Serhiy Lysak.

The victims include an 11-year-old boy and a 59-year-old man. In addition to private homes, a lyceum and a kindergarten sustained damage from the attacks, disrupting community infrastructure.

Emergency response teams and municipal services are actively working on site to provide assistance and mitigate the consequences of the strikes. Operational headquarters have been established to coordinate aid and recovery efforts.

Concurrent Missile Strikes in Dnipro Cause Multiple Injuries and Fires

Simultaneously, Russian forces launched missile strikes on the city of Dnipro. Alexander Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, reported that nine people were injured due to rockets hitting a residential area.

The attacks sparked several fires, including one on the roof of a 24-story building. Emergency crews are responding to these blazes amid concerns that some residents remain trapped in affected buildings.

Of the injured, four have been hospitalized with moderate injuries, while five others, including a 10-year-old boy, are receiving outpatient treatment.

“Operational headquarters are mobilized to provide assistance, and emergency services continue to work around the clock to address the aftermath,” said Serhiy Lysak, highlighting the ongoing response efforts in Odesa.
