The Kyiv city mayor, Vitali Klitschko, confirmed that several districts in the Ukrainian capital—including Obolonsky, Desnyansky, and Holosiivskyi—suffered damage from the strikes. Fires broke out in some areas, and a private residence in Holosiivskyi was destroyed, with concerns that people may still be trapped under the debris.
Preliminary data from the Kyiv City Military Administration indicated one fatality and at least 12 wounded within the city limits. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported 15 casualties in Kyiv. Beyond the capital, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration recorded damage in Bucha, Brovary, and Fastiv districts. One person was killed in Bucha district, with 21 civilians injured throughout the region. Injuries were also reported in Brovary (13 people), Fastiv (3), and additional casualties in Bucha (5).
According to SES, fires erupted in Brovary around logistics centers, warehouses, production facilities, and commercial establishments. Bucha experienced strikes on logistics complexes, while Fastiv saw industrial fires following the attacks.
Further missile and drone strikes targeted Odessa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions according to the Ukrainian Air Force, which reported multiple incursions overnight on August 5.
