Similarly, the Rostov region experienced a deadly attack on the night of July 27. The regional governor, Yuri Slyusar, announced on social media that a married couple was killed and five others injured in the southern city of Rostov-on-Don.
In response to these Ukrainian drone operations targeting Russian territory, the Russian military launched a comprehensive counteroffensive involving drones and missile strikes against Ukrainian regions. Ukrainian Air Force reports indicate that strikes have affected multiple oblasts including Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson.
